Bio

Daniel Tengberg, born in Vargön, Sweden, began playing the cello at the age of three under the guidance of his father, Håkan. Music has been a natural part of Daniel’s life since childhood, as he was raised in a home filled with music. The violoncello was an obvious choice for him, as his grandfather, father, and brother had already mastered the instrument. Daniel’s father was his primary teacher from the beginning until his mid-teens and remains one of his greatest role models.

Daniel is the solocellist of the Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra in Växjö, Sweden, which he has been a part of since 2014. In addition to his work with Musica Vitae, Tengberg regularly performs across Sweden and Europe. His passion for chamber music has led to collaborations with renowned musicians such as Ivry Gitlis and Midori Goto.

Daniel also frequently substitutes in leading positions for various orchestras, including the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, and Västerås Sinfonietta, among others.

While Tengberg’s primary focus is classical music, he effortlessly moves across different genres, collaborating with artists in heavy metal, pop, hip-hop, Christian worship music, and more.
